A 40-year-old man was killed nine days ago by two of his friends who dumped his body in a dry pond for refusing to perform oral sex with them, Baran district police said on Thursday.
The police have identified the accused in the case as Murlidhar Prajapati and Surendra Yadav. One of them has been apprehended, while the other is admitted to a hospital under police guard after ingesting a poisonous substance, fearing arrest, as reported by PTI.
Baran Superintendent of Police, Raj Kumar Choudhary, revealed that Bairwa’s lifeless body was discovered in the Baran city police station area on February 26. Through technical investigation and inquiries, the police were able to trace the two accused, both residents of Baran. Prajapati, upon initial interrogation, confessed to the murder, according to the Baran SP.
The incident unfolded when Prajapati, Yadav, and Bairwa consumed alcohol together and visited a nearby village to see Prajapati’s sister. On their way back, the situation escalated, leading Prajapati and Yadav to assault and fatally hack Bairwa to death for his refusal to comply with their sexual demands, as per the official statement, PTI reported.
Prajapati runs a roadside dhaba, and Yadav is a daily wage worker.
