The father of the minor, who killed two IT engineers with his Porsche car, was brought to the Crime Branch in Pune on May 27 and later officially arrested in an abduction case.
After the Pune District Court granted the Pune Police custody of the father accused in the driver abduction case related to the car crash, he was subsequently placed under judicial custody at Yerwada Jail, ANI reported.
Blood sample tampering
In relation to blood sample tampering at the hospital, the accused hospital staff, the accused doctor and the grandfather of the minor were brought to the Crime Branch. They have been arrested in the sample manipulation case and have been sent to police custody till May 30.
The accused in this case include two doctors, Dr Dr Ajay Taware, HOD of the Forensic Medicine Department and CMO Dr Srihari Halnor.
Another person has been arrested by the Pune Police in connection to the Porsche crash case, the officials have revealed.
According to Pune Police officials, the arrested person is suspected of allegedly manipulating the minor’s blood sample. The accused has been identified as Atul Ghatkamble, an employee of Sassoon Hospital. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated that the doctors at Sassoon Hospital replaced the blood sample of the juvenile involved in the luxury car crash with another one, discarding the real sample in the hospital’s dustbin.
