The grandfather of the 17-year-old boy, who hit two people on a bike while driving a Porsche in Pune, reportedly has connections with the underway and is facing a trial with gangster Chhota Rajan in a case related to the former’s brother.
The boy’s grandfather, SK Agarwal, allegedly paid gangster Chhota Rajan and is facing trial at the Mumbai Sessions Court, according to sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), India Today reported.
The case against Agarwal is for allegedly joining hands with gangster Chhota Rajan for a property dispute with his brother.
The teen, son of a real estate developer, appeared before the Juvenile Justice Board and was granted bail hours later.
The boy, who allegedly crashed his luxury Porsche car into a motorbike, resulting in the spot death of two techies in Pune, was granted bail on a surety of Rs 7,500 and an assurance from his grandfather to keep him away from bad company, the order issued by the Juvenil Justice Board has revealed.
“His grandfather has given an assurance that he will keep the Child-in-Conflict with Law (CCL) away from any bad company and he will concentrate on his study or any vocational course which is useful for his career. He is ready to abide by the conditions imposed on him. Therefore, it is just and proper to release the CCL on bail,” said the order passed by the Juvenile Justice Board on Sunday, PTI reported.

The teen will be produced before a juvenile court on Wednesday after a new case has been registered against him under section 185 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, Vishal Agarwal, the teen driver’s father and a real estate developer who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the accident, will also be produced before a Pune court today after medical tests.
