Panic ensued onboard a Delhi to Chennai IndiGo flight after a passenger attempted to open the emergency door of the airplane on Wednesday.
The passenger, identified as Manikandan, was handed over to officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on arrival at the Chennai airport, India Today reported.

The incident occurred on IndiGo flight 6E 6341 in the wee hours of Wednesday. The airline authorities briefed the CISF officials about the incident, requesting action against the accused.
IndiGo has also filed a complaint against the man while an investigation into the matter is underway.

“Upon arrival, our crew identified one passenger tried to open the emergency exit door. Unruly passenger form filled, hence as per procedure, we are about to lodge a complaint in police station. Requesting your team to allocate CISF officials to escort the passenger to the police station,” the official letter written to the CISF authorities on Wednesday read.
