Nagaur Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Highlights: Nagaur Lok Sabha, a General category seat, is one of the 25 parliamentary constituencies in Rajasthan. Nagaur voted in the first phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 on April 19. Here, the key contest is between Rashtriya Loktantrik Party’s Hanuman Beniwal and BJP’s Jyoti Mirdha. Beniwal, who is contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls with the support of the INDIA Bloc, had fought the last General Elections with the backing of the BJP. Interestingly, this year’s BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha had quit the Congress and joined the BJP in September last year shortly before the Rajasthan Assembly election. Beniwal is the incumbent lawmaker from Nagaur.

The Election Commission of India has announced the winner of the Nagaur constituency of Rajasthan. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party candidate, Hanuman Beniwal won the Nagaur seat with a margin of 42225 votes securing a total of 596955 votes. Beniwal defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party's Jyoti Mirdha who won 554730 votes. The Bahujan Samaj Party lost by 572947 votes.
The final official result will be declared by the Election Commission either late on the night of June 4 or on the morning of June 5.
Rajasthan's Nagaur recorded the highest vote for the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, 590854. While Jyoti Mridha of the Bharatiya Janata Party secured 549639 votes.
The Election Commission is yet to announce the final results of Nagaur, However, the official statistics gave some clear picture to the voters. As per the official report, Hanuman Beniwal of RLP is securing 376830 seats with a margin of 14373 votes.

Jyoti Mirdha has secured 203167 votes falling short behind by 8847 to secure the seat in Nagaur. Jyoti Mirdha was the Chief Minister of Nagaur in 2009.

The 2009 winner of Nagaur switched to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in September 2023 in a setback to the Congress, right before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections after losing the 2019 Lok Sabha seat against RLP’s Hanuman Beniwal.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, RLP leader Hanuman Beniwal won the Nagaur seat in alliance with the BJP, securing 6,60,051 votes (54.79%) and defeating Congress candidate Dr. Jyoti Mirdha, who received 4,78,791 votes (39.74%). Beniwal won by a margin of 1,81,260 votes. The total number of valid votes polled was 12,03,124.
BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha, contesting against RLP leader Hanuman Beniwal in Nagaur, criticized senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot in an interview with ETV Bharat. She stated that Gehlot was the primary reason for her departure from the Congress party. Mirdha also mentioned that many leaders have left the party due to Gehlot.

Clashes broke out between RLP and BJP workers in Nagaur during the first phase of voting in Rajasthan. Supporters of BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha and RLP candidate Hanuman Beniwal confronted each other over unspecified issues. The clash resulted in injuries to Kuchera Municipality President Tejpal Mirdha, who came to intervene in the fight.
