In a disturbing incident on September 1, an AC coach attendant and his assistant were attacked by three unidentified men aboard the LTT-Agartala Express near Mumbai, according to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official. The assault took place between Kalyan and Kasara stations.

The GRP official reported that the attack occurred while the complainant, who was on duty, and his assistant were in an AC coach. The assailants, wielding an iron object, assaulted them and stole the attendant’s mobile phone. The injured were promptly taken to a trauma care center upon the train’s arrival at Bhusawal.

An FIR has been filed at the Kalyan GRP station under section 309(6) (robbery) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Despite the severity of the assault and robbery, no arrests have been made thus far. The GRP is actively investigating the incident to track down the perpetrators. The case has raised concerns about the safety of railway staff and passengers on long-distance trains, prompting calls for increased security measures on express trains.
