Jharkhand Election 2024 Result Highlights: Hemant Soren-led JMM all set for comeback, INDIA bloc wins 55 seats

Kalpana Soren, wife of CM Hemant Soren, has emerged victorious from the Gandey seat. Kalpana defeated BJP candidate Muniya Devi by a margin of 17142 votes.

After the counting of all 21 rounds, JMM candidate and CM Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Murmu Soren is leading from Gandey seat by a margin of 16960 votes. She contested from the seat against BJP's Muniya Devi.

Ten Congress candidates have won from their constituencies so far as per ECI. In Pakur, Nizat Alam emerged victorious with a massive 155,827 votes and an overwhelming margin of 86,029. Jamtara saw Irfan Ansari secure the win with 133,266 votes, leading by 43,676.

Pradeep Yadav clinched victory in Poreyahat, garnering 117,842 votes and a margin of 34,130. In Ramgarh, Mamta Devi triumphed with 89,818 votes, holding a lead of 6,790. Kumar Jaimangal (Anup Singh) claimed Bermo with 90,246 votes and a margin of 29,375, while Bokaro saw Shwetaa Singh win with 133,438 votes, leading by 7,207.

Sona Ram Sinku won in Jagannathpur with 57,065 votes and a margin of 7,383. In Kanke, Suresh Kumar Baitha narrowly secured victory with 133,499 votes and a slim margin of 968. Lohardaga’s Rameshwar Oraon achieved a commanding win with 113,507 votes and a margin of 34,670. Meanwhile, Radha Krishana Kishore edged out the competition in Chhatarpur with 71,857 votes, leading by just 736.

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has won from Barhait constituency by a margin of over 39,000 votes. Soren defeated Gamliyel Hembrom of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Several JMM candidates secured decisive victories in their constituencies. In Borio, Dhananjay Soren won with 97,317 votes, leading by a margin of 19,273. Hemlal Murmu triumphed in Litipara, garnering 88,469 votes with a margin of 26,749, while Stephen Marandi dominated Maheshpur with 114,924 votes and a massive lead of 61,175. Alok Kumar Soren secured victory in Sikaripara with 102,199 votes and a 41,174-vote margin. Basant Soren emerged victorious in Dumka with 95,685 votes and a lead of 14,588, while Lois Marandi narrowly clinched Jama with 76,424 votes and a margin of 5,738.

In Gomia, Yogendra Prasad led with 95,170 votes, outpacing his rival by 36,093. Uma Kant Rajak won Chandankiyari with 90,027 votes and a margin of 33,733, while Mathura Prasad Mahato captured Tundi with 95,527 votes and a lead of 25,603. Deepak Birua achieved a landslide victory in Chaibasa with 107,367 votes and a 64,835 margin, and Niral Purty secured Majhgaon with 94,163 votes and a 59,603-vote lead.

Jagat Majhi won Manoharpur with 73,034 votes and a margin of 31,956, while Sukhram Oraon claimed Chakradharpur with 58,639 votes and a narrow lead of 9,310. Dashrath Gagrai triumphed in Kharsawan with 85,772 votes and a 32,615-vote lead. Sudeep Gudhiya won Torpa with 80,887 votes and a margin of 40,647, and Ram Surya Munda secured Khunti with 91,721 votes, leading by 42,053. In Bhawanathpur, Anant Pratap Deo topped the list with 146,265 votes and a 21,462-vote margin.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's Yogendra Prasad has won from Gomia seat by a margin of 36093 votes.

Chandradeo Mahato of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) has won from Sindri seat by a margin of 3448 votes. He defeated Tara Devi of BJP in the contest.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expanded his lead to 12,818 votes over BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom in the Barhait assembly constituency. In the 2019 elections, Soren contested from both Barhait and Dumka, securing victories in both with margins of 25,740 and 13,188 votes, respectively.

On JMM-led Mahagathbandhan crossing the majority mark in Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 as per EC trends, state Congress chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh says, "...Our alliance's achievements of 5 years - we did better than other states during Corona period, migrants were brought back and provided all facilities here. People of other states also appreciated Jharkhand. All development works were done here...Nobody trusted them, be it the former Madhya Pradesh CM or Assam CM - all of them camped here. But they want away. When people don't trust them (local BJP leaders), how can they trust outsiders. They were here just for jumlebaazi..."

Kalpana Soren, wife of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and a candidate from the Gandey constituency, is trailing by approximately 4,000 votes to BJP's Munia Devi.

As per the initial trends by ECI, CM Hemant Soren is leading from Barhait seat by 5908 votes.

As counting progresses in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, early trends reveal key leads in three constituencies by BJP:

- Mahagama: Ashok Kumar is leading with a total of 5,567 votes, holding a margin of 1,351 votes.

- Bermo: Ravindra Kumar Pandey has secured 7,830 votes and is ahead by a margin of 351 votes.

- Dhanbad: Raj Sinha is in the lead with 6,184 votes, enjoying a significant margin of 2,824 votes.

These numbers are from the initial rounds of counting and are subject to change as the process continues.

The NDA has crossed the halfway mark in Jharkhand, as per the early trends by India Today.

JMM candidate Mahua Maji is leading from the Ranchi Assembly seat.

As per the initial trends by India Today, INDIA bloc is leading on 38 whereas NDA is leading on 32 seats currently. Early trends from ECI will also come out shortly.
