The India Metrological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Aizawl, the capital of the state of Mizoram, on Saturday. It has also predicted lightning and thunderstorms in the adjoining areas.
In south India, the weather department has predicted thunderstorms and lightning in Coimbatore, Kozhikode, Krishnagiri, and some other adjoining areas. A fresh easterly wave is likely to cause an isolated downpour over Tamil Nadu and Kerala on the 19th & 20th of November.
Meanwhile, the India Metrological Department has also updated about the cyclonic storm “Midhili”.
“Cyclonic Storm “Midhili” weakened into a Deep Depression over Tripura & adjoining Bangladesh about 50 km N-NE of Maijdicourt (Bangladesh), 60 km S-SE of Agartala. To move N-NE and weaken into a Depression over south Assam & adjoining Mizoram-Tripura in 06 hrs,” IMD tweeted on Saturday.
“CS Midhili about 80 km northeast of Bhola (Bangladesh), 30 km north of Maijdicourt (Bangladesh), 70 km south-southwest of Agartala, and 240 km southwest of Silchar. Likely to move NNE and weaken into a Deep Depression over Tripura and adjoining Bangladesh during next 3 hrs,” IMD had informed in an earlier tweet.
Fishermen Warning:
Fishermen are advised not to venture into –
a) North Bay of Bengal and along & off Bangladesh coast till 18th November afternoon.
b) Along & off the West Bengal coast till the 18th November morning.
