Harsidhi is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Janata Dal United (JDU), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress are the main parties in the state. The constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 73.72%. Overall voter turnout in Bihar witnessed a record surge to 66.91%.

The survey released on Wednesday shows that the NDA is facing a close contest with the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.
According to the My Axis India poll, the NDA is expected to get 43% of the votes, only slightly ahead of the Mahagathbandhan’s 41%. The survey also suggests that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is the Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate, is more popular for the top post than current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
