Bihar Gaighat Assembly Election Results 2025 Live Updates : Bihar’s Gaighat voted on 6 November, 2025 as part of the first phase of polling in the state. Gaighat is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Janata Dal United (JDU), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress are the main parties in the state. The constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 68.40%. Overall voter turnout in Bihar witnessed a record surge to 66.91%.
Niranjan Roy from RJD is the sitting MLA from the Gaighat seat. In 2020, Niranjan Roy registered a win in the Gaighat constituency. In 2015, RJD candidate Maheshwar Prasad Yadav won from the seat.

Exit Polls including Matrize, People’s Pulse, Chanakya Strategies projected NDA as the clear winner in the Bihar Elections 2025. However, Axis My India has kept hope alive for the MGB. The survey released on Wednesday shows that the NDA is facing a close contest with the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.
According to the My Axis India poll, the NDA is expected to get 43% of the votes, only slightly ahead of the Mahagathbandhan’s 41%. The survey also suggests that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is the Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate, is more popular for the top post than current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
