The Congress party announced its second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections comprising 43 names on Tuesday. Gaurav Gogoi will contest from Assam’s Jorhat while former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav will contest from Jalore. Former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath’s son Nakul will contest from Chhindwara.

The list contains 10 candidates from the general category, 13 are OBCs, 10 are Schedule Caste candidates, 9 are Scheduled Tribe candidates and one is a Muslim, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said while announcing the list of candidates.

Notable candidates who found a place in the list include Rahul Kaswa from Rajasthan’s Churu, Vaibhav Gehlot from Rajasthan’s Jalore and Phool Singh Baraiya from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind. Two-time MP Sachin Pilot is among the notable exclusions from Rajasthan.
