Chhattisgarh Election Result 2023: The Election Commission of India will be announcing the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023 results today. The polling in Chhattisgarh was held in two phases on November 7 and November 17. In the initial phase, 20 constituencies in Chhattisgarh participated in voting, while in the second phase, 70 constituencies cast their votes. The first phase featured 223 candidates, while the second phase witnessed the participation of 958 candidates. Despite Chhattisgarh recording a voter turnout of 76.31 percent in both phases, it was marginally lower than the 76.88 percent recorded in the 2018 polls. Specifically, the voter turnout in the first phase reached 78 percent, while the second and final phase reported a turnout of 75.88 percent.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi played a central role in the BJP’s campaign, delivering speeches at four well-attended rallies during the second phase. The focus of his address was the Bhupesh Baghel-led government, with particular emphasis on allegations of corruption, including the purported Mahadev betting app scam and recruitment scandal, as well as concerns related to Naxalism. Several prominent figures within the BJP had also actively participated in the campaign. Their efforts were directed towards targeting Chief Minister Baghel, highlighting issues such as the alleged betting app scam, while also accusing the ruling Congress of engaging in appeasement politics. The Indian National Congress (INC) currently holds a strong position in the state. It had secured victory in 2018 in the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections, leading to the formation of the state government where Bhupesh Baghel assumed the position of chief minister.
