Chhattisgarh Election 2023 Date: The Election Commission of India on Monday announced the poll schedule for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 2023. Announcing the poll schedule at a press conference held at the Ran Bhawan Auditorium in New Delhi today, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that polling in the state will be held in two phases on November 7 and 17 while the counting of votes will be taken up on December 3.

The state is set to witness a triangular battle between the ruling Congress and the BJP for its 90 Assembly seats with the Aam Aadmi Party also in the fray this time. The state, carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000, saw a continuous rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party until 2018 when the Congress swept to power, reducing the ruling party to a paltry 15 seats.
