Home Minister G Parameshwara has confirmed that nine people have sustained injuries in the incident. He mentioned, "The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has gathered samples, and investigations are currently ongoing. The bomb squad has also inspected the site. Additionally, the City Police Commissioner and Director General of Police (DGP) have visited the location. I will personally visit the scene at 7:30 PM."
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, during his visit to Mysuru, disclosed that an unidentified individual had brought a bag, which initial investigations suggest contained an improvised explosive device (IED). Siddaramaiah stated, "I have been in contact with the Home Minister and senior police officials. They have informed me that an unidentified individual brought a bag into the restaurant. He purchased a token and consumed food. Subsequently, he left the bag, which contained the explosive device. The police are currently examining CCTV footage. They have labeled the explosion as a high-powered blast." The incident resulted in injuries to nine individuals, with one woman sustaining severe injuries.
