Bihar Election 2025 Full Candidate List LIVE: NDA is likely to release its first candidate list today. BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal has said that all five parties withing the NDA alliance will declare the name of their candidates by Tuesday evening.

The NDA list was earlier expected to be released on Monday at 4 pm, as mentioned in a tweet by the JD(U), but the tweet has since been deleted. Meanwhile, disagreements have reportedly emerged between the BJP, JD(U), and LJP (Ram Vilas) over seat-sharing, amid signs of displeasure from Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha. Reports suggest that the BJP is working to resolve the issue.

Jaiswal also announced that the NDA’s four-day campaign for candidate nominations will run from October 15 to 18, and senior central leaders will also take part in it.

While the NDA has finalised its seat-sharing agreement, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) has not yet reached a consensus. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is reluctant to give more seats to its smaller allies, such as the Congress and Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). However, the alliance is expected to announce its seat-sharing plan on Tuesday.

Tejashwi Yadav to file nomination from Raghopur on Oct 15

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will file his nomination for the Bihar Assembly elections from the Raghopur seat on October 15. The party and his supporters are urging people to come in large numbers to the nomination venue to show their support. This step underlines Tejashwi Yadav’s election preparations and his strong influence in Raghopur.

RJD president Lalu Prasad handed out party tickets to candidates he supports, even as the INDIA bloc, led by his party in Bihar, has not yet finalised its seat-sharing plan, a PTI report said.

A large crowd gathered outside 10 Circular Road, the residence of Lalu’s wife and former CM Rabri Devi, when the couple returned from Delhi, where they had appeared in court. The exact number of candidates receiving RJD tickets was unclear.

Among the key candidates receiving RJD symbols were Sunil Singh from Parbatta, who recently left JD(U), and Narendra Kumar Singh, also known as Bogo, a former MLA from Matihani who had previously won the seat twice for the JD(U).

This move is seen as part of a strategy by Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader’s son and heir, to attract support from Bhumihars, a powerful upper-caste group that has traditionally backed the BJP-led NDA.
