Uttar Pradesh election date 2019: India’s most populous state Uttar Pradesh will go to polls in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The politically crucial state sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha and holds the key to the formation of next government. The state has given India the maximum number of Prime Ministers. There have been 14 Prime Ministers so far and ten of them have been from Uttar Pradesh, including the incumbent Narendra Modi.
The state is being keenly watched as the stage is set for a triangular contest. Although Congress has been claiming that it is in the race, the main fight will be between BJP and the BSP-SP alliance.
Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha election 2019 dates constituency-wise

The arch-rivals BSP and Samajwadi Party have reached a consensus on contesting the elections together. The RLD of Ajit Singh is also a part of the alliance. The BJP, on the other hand, is expecting to repeat its 2014 show in the state when it had won 73 of the 80 seats along with its regional partners.
All the political parties are aware that winning maximum number of seats in Uttar Pradesh will decide which party will get chance to form the government.
