Recognising the need to promote sustainability and green practices, Concentrix – the provider of customer experience solutions – has started the ‘Go Clean, Go Green’ campaign, under which it has launched cleanliness drives in public spaces (roads, streets, beaches, rivers and lakes), in addition to waste management initiatives.
The campaign incorporates tree-planting efforts, ranging from Miyawaki forests to roadside planting and sapling distribution. The initiative also aims to educate, raise awareness, and inspire employees to proactively take charge in creating a more sustainable future through environmental cleanliness and responsible practices.
“Organisations across the world are embracing sustainability and reducing carbon emissions,” said Harish Bhardwaj, vice-president & head of CSR, India, Concentrix. “We are doing our bit towards ensuring a sustainable future, as responsible global citizens.”
Commencing in Gurgaon, with subsequent phases planned for Chandigarh, Vadodara and other Concentrix locations across India, the initiative aims to engage over 2,000 volunteers, including ‘gamechangers’ and stakeholders, encouraging participation through an awareness campaign conducted via emails and social media. “The initial drive in Gurgaon saw impressive participation, with 500 volunteers collecting a significant amount of waste, totalling 1,700 kg,” he said.
Recent studies have found that businesses which focus on sustainability and are morally conscious are able to attract larger number of investors.
