Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat ticket price: The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express between Jammu and Srinagar is set to begin operations soon on the route. The train journey promises a world-class travel experience on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. Operated by the Northern Railway zone, this will be the third Vande Bharat train for the region, following the success of two routes connecting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) with Delhi.

Route and launch details
The ultra-modern train, sporting an orange-and-grey color scheme, will operate between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar. Commercial services are expected to commence in February 2025, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to flag off the inaugural journey in the first week of the month, ET reported. The Railway Board is yet to finalise the exact date and time.
Train timings
The Vande Bharat Express is set to redefine travel in Kashmir with its cutting-edge amenities and reduced travel time. Covering over 150 km in just 2 hours and 30 minutes, the train will operate with the following schedule:
Departure from SVDK: 08:10 hrs
Arrival at Srinagar: 11:20 hrs
Return from Srinagar: 12:45 hrs
Arrival at SVDK: 15:55 hrs
The train’s design and speed have been developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF).
Ticket price of Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat
While the final ticket prices are yet to be announced, estimates suggest fares will range between Rs 1,500-1,600 for AC Chair Car and Rs 2,200-2,500 for Executive Chair Car, offering a luxurious journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir.
