The Vande Bharat Express, operating on the Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram route, was delayed on Wednesday evening after encountering a technical issue near Shornur railway station. The train stopped at around 5:30 pm near the Shornur railway bridge and remained stationary for over two hours.

Engineers Dispatched to Address Problem

Railway engineers were promptly sent to inspect and resolve the issue. The train was eventually moved to Shornur railway station for further examination. Operations resumed around 8 pm, ensuring passengers could continue their journey.

An official confirmed that all passengers onboard were safe and that there were no untoward incidents during the delay. Railway authorities worked to minimise the inconvenience caused by the disruption.

The halt caused delays for several other trains operating in the area. Railway officials assured that efforts were being made to restore the schedule and prevent further disruptions.
