Rail travel in India has entered into a new era of mobility with the introduction of Vande Bharat Express trains in the country. Launched in 2019, the journey through railways has been enhanced with the launch of these blue and white colour trains. The nation’s ninth semi-high speed train has registered passenger occupancy of more than 80 per cent in October 2023.
Passenger occupancy of CSMT-Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express:-
The train number 22225/22226 CSMT-Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express is Maharashtra’s second blue and white colour train. The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 10 this year.
Last month, the CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express records passenger occupancy of 85.64 per cent while Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express registered occupancy of 94.50 per cent.

In October, a total of 25780 passengers travelled on the new age train between CSMT and Solapur. 28783 passengers boarded Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express train last month.The train is being maintained and operated by the Central Railway (CR) zone.
Distance and Travel Time of CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express:-
The CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express train covers a journey of 455 kms in 06:35 hrs. It reduces the travel time between the two stations by 01:30 hrs. The train departs from CSMT at 16:05 hrs and reaches the destination at 22:40 hrs. During its return journey, this ultra modern train leaves Solapur at 06:05 hrs and reaches CSMT at 12:35 hrs.
Stoppage and Frequency of CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express:-
During its journey between CSMT and Solapur and vice versa, this blue and white colour train halts at four railway stations. These are – Dadar, Kalyan Junction, Pune Junction, and Kurduvadi. It operates on all days except Wednesday.
