In a bid to enhance the connective of the Port City, Indian Railways is set to introduce two more Vande Bharat Express trains to and from Visakhapatnam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the two Vande Bharat Express trains virtually, namely – Visakhapatnam to Puri, and Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad. 

The addition of two additional Vande Bharat trains and the inauguration of infrastructure projects are anticipated to improve connectivity and foster overall regional development.

New Vande Bharat train routes, timings 

According to the reports, the Vande Bharat train service operating between Puri and Vizag (Train No. 20841) is scheduled to run six days a week, excluding Saturdays. Departing from Puri at 5:15 am, it will arrive in Vizag at 11:30 am on the same day. On its return journey, Train No. 20842 will depart from Vizag at 3:40 pm and reach Puri at 9:55 pm, making stops at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, and Vizianagaram.

Meanwhile, the second Vande Bharat train service between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam (Train No. 20707) will operate six days a week, except Thursdays. Departing from Secunderabad at 5:05 am, it is scheduled to arrive in Vizag at 1:50 pm on the same day.

PM Modi to launch 10 new Vande Bharat trains

The prime minister is slated to inaugurate various railway projects in Ahemdabad and open multiple train services across India tomorrow. 

PM Modi is set to flag off ten new Vande Bharat trains on Tuesday, namely – Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central, Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam, Mysuru- Dr. MGR Central (Chennai),  Patna- Lucknow, New Jalpaiguri-Patna, Puri-Visakhapatnam, Lucknow – Dehradun, Kalaburagi – Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru, Ranchi-Varanasi, Khajuraho- Delhi (Nizamuddin).

Furthermore, PM Modi is set to inaugurate completed segments of two doubling projects between Kottavalasa and Koraput, as well as from Koraput to Rayagada. Additionally, he will inaugurate finished portions of the Vizianagaram – Titlagarh third line project, a goods shed, and One Station-One Product stalls within the division.
