The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a marginal revision in passenger fares, effective from Monday, 25 August 2025. The hike ranges between Rs 1 and Rs 4, depending on the distance travelled, while the Airport Express Line will see a maximum increase of up to Rs 5.
The new fare slabs have already come into effect across all routes.

How much will you pay now?

Under the new slabs for normal days, passengers travelling up to 2 km will now pay Rs 11, compared to the earlier Rs 10. For a distance of 2–5 km, the fare has been set at Rs 21, up from Rs 20, while journeys of 5–12 km will cost Rs 32 instead of Rs 30.

Travel between 12–21 km will now be charged at Rs 43, against the earlier Rs 40. For 21–32 km, the revised fare is Rs 54, compared to Rs 50 earlier, and trips of more than 32 km will now cost Rs 64, up from Rs 60.

Fare on Sundays

However, on Sundays and national holidays, fares remain slightly lower, starting at Rs 11 and going up to Rs 54. According to the DMRC, the marginal increase is intended to support operational efficiency while keeping metro travel affordable for daily commuters.
