Wipro Commercial & Institutional Business (CIB), part of Wipro Consumer Care, hopes to accelerate double-digit year-on-year growth with a combination of new products and positioning. CIB’s overall revenue is around Rs 1,000-1,500 per annum, growing at 10-15% annually. With the new initiatives, the company hopes to grow above 15% per annum, Anuj Dhir, senior vice-president and business head, CIB, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, said.
As part of its new strategy, Wiprohas just launched IoT-Enabled air quality monitoring solutions, iSense Air, that will deliver real-time insights and actionable data primarily for commercial establishments. It has also launched its range of next-generation products and solutions in lighting and seating for indoor and outdoor spaces, he said.
These innovations address the need for future-ready workspaces, Dhir said, demonstrating how they can enhance well-being, boost productivity, and drive sustainability.
“Spaces shape how we feel, think, and interact – influencing our well-being, creativity, productivity, and sense of belonging. We spend nearly half of our working lives in workspaces, so how they are designed truly matters,” he said.
The company is also stepping up its focus on tier 2 and 3 cities where demand for its premium products is growing, he said. Its engagement with consumers will also see it open more experiential centres across the country. Currently, the company has opened five centres, in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and two in Bengaluru. The plan is to open a few more in cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, and Coimbatore by March. An experience centre in Mumbai may happen by early next year.
The idea, Dhir says, is to take its lighting and seating solutions closer to consumers across cities. Architects, he says, can bring their clients to see the range.
“We collaborate with architects and consultants to design people-focused, sustainable spaces,” he adds.
