Tata Elxsi and Dräger have joined forces to enhance critical care innovation in India. Dräger is establishing a new Offshore Development Center (ODC) at Tata Elxsi’s Pune facility to focus on developing innovative critical care medical devices for both local and international markets. The collaboration aims to merge Tata Elxsi’s design and technology expertise with Dräger’s medical and safety technology prowess.

The ODC will bring together talent from both organizations to develop innovative critical care medical devices for Operation Theatre (OT) environments worldwide. It will oversee all stages of product development, including conceptualization, design, prototyping, and testing. Equipped with medical-grade resources, the center ensures products meet the rigorous standards of OT setups.

According to an official statement, both companies are committed to pushing the boundaries of medical innovation and ensuring products meet the highest safety and efficacy standards. This partnership aims to expedite the development of cost-effective, high-quality medical devices, contributing to a more accessible healthcare ecosystem globally. It also highlights India’s R&D capabilities on the global stage.
