Maruti Suzuki reported a flat profit growth in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The automaker reported a mere 0.87 per cent YoY profit growth in Q1FY26. The company reported a consolidated profit of Rs 3,792.4 crore in Q1FY26 against a profit of Rs 3,759.7 crore in Q1 FY25.

Further, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the company’s profit slipped by 3 per cent as it reported a profit of Rs 3911.1 crore in Q4FY25.

Maruti Suzuki’s consolidated total revenue from operations stood at Rs 38,605 crore in Q1FY26, posting a 7.9 per cent YoY growth. The company’s revenue in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year stood at Rs 35,779 crore.

The company posted an 18.9 per cent YoY decline in Operating EBIT in the quarter. Maruti Suzuki’s Operating EBIT came down from Rs 3,771 crore in Q1FY25 to Rs 3057 crore in Q1FY26. 

Sales and volume 

Maruti Suzuki saw a 4.5 per cent decline in domestic sales in the year’s first quarter. The company’s total domestic sales came down to 4,30,889 units in Q1 FY26 from 4.51 lakh units in Q1 FY25. 

Despite the decline in domestic sales, the overall sales volume of the company went up by 1.1 per cent due to a 37.4 per cent jump in exports. The company’s exports in the quarter stood at 96,972 units, taking the total unit sales to 5,27,861 in Q1. 

Maruti Suzuki’s mini-sized model, selling 19,522 units in the domestic market, recorded the highest sales fall of 36.6 per cent in the quarter. Its compact model sales also saw a 6.3 per cent sales decline, registering a total of 1,77,270 unit sales. Utility Vehicle models of Maruti Suzuki also saw a small 0.8 per cent decline in sales, totalling 1,61,868 units in Q1 FY26.
