GAIL (India) Limited on Monday recorded Q3FY24 profit at Rs 3,194.62 crore, registering an increase of 672.1 per cent on-year in comparison to Rs 413.76 crore during the same period last year, beating estimates. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 34,767.84 crore, down 3.3 per cent as against Rs 35,939.96 crore during the third quarter of FY23. According to a CNBC TV18 poll, GAIL was expected to post its Q3FY24 profit at Rs 2,302 crore and revenue was estimated to be at Rs 35,070 crore.
While the total income reported during the quarter in review was at Rs 35,181.78 crore, total expenses incurred during the third quarter of FY24 was at Rs 31,607.96 crore.
The company board also approved the payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24 at 55 per cent, that is, Rs 5.50 per equity share on the paid up equity share capital of the company. The interim dividend will be paid with reference to the record date, i.e., Tuesday, 06th February, 2024 fixed for the said purpose.
