Brainbees Solutions, which owns the baby and kids-focused e-commerce site FirstCry.com, has raised $26 million. Valiant Capital Partners led the $26-million Series D investment into the company. Existing investors IDG Ventures India, Vertex and SAIF Partners also participated in the round. A large part of the funding will go towards expanding the private label, BabyHug, into new product segments. Brainbees was founded by serial entrepreneurs Supam Maheshwari and Amitava Saha.
