ACME Solar has secured a 450 MW-1800 MWh power supply order at a tariff rate of Rs 6.75 per unit. In an exchange filing, the company stated that it has secured the order under the SJVN FDRE-IV project through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

ACME Solar said that the project would integrate solar capacity of 300 MW and Battery Energy Storage System capacity of about 1800 MWh to meet the supply requirements. The company added that the latest order is its first project to utilise Indian-made solar cells.

“Securing the SJVN FDRE-IV project with peak power effectively utilises the available transmission capacity from night-time connectivity, thus enabling us to realise early revenue.” Rahula Kashyapa, Chief Commercial Officer at ACME Solar, said in a statement.

“This is a win-win for both the customer and ACME Solar as it’s lowest price in pure peak power tender achieved so far,” Kashyapa added.
