3Commas, a crypto trading bot provider, is on “heightened alert” after some of its user’s accounts were compromised and used to place trades, stated Cointelegraph.
With insights from a blog post made on October 8, 2023, by Yuriy Sorokin, co-founder, CEO, 3Commas, mentioned that it received reports from users concerning unauthorised trades on their accounts after resetting their passwords.
“We will continue with our investigation into this matter. Please note, however, that in the meantime, our services are running normally, and we will continue to operate in a state of heightened alert,” Sorokin explained.
Sources revealed that additional security measures will be implemented such as resetting passwords and disabling API connections after a user resets their password. Furthermore, it also recommended that users should enable two-factor authentication and regularly change their password, Cointelegraph concluded.
