At the Airspace World in Geneva, Eve Air Mobility (“Eve”) announced the unveiling of its Urban Air Traffic Management (Urban ATM) software named Vector. This agnostic software solution aims to address the unique challenges of current and future Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations, focusing on fleet and vertiport operators, as well as Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs).

With Vector, Eve is paving the way for the seamless integration of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft into low-level urban airspace, enhancing safety and optimizing performance.

“eVTOL aircraft flights are poised to become a vital transportation mode worldwide,” said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve. “Vector will streamline AAM operations from day one, enhancing safety, optimizing performance, and maximizing resource usage.”

Vector will enable eVTOLs to integrate with other aircraft from the outset and provide the necessary automation for the scalability of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) market. Eve already boasts 14 customers for the solution, including fleet operators, vertiports, and airspace management providers.

Eve’s partnership with Flexjet in November 2023 led to a simulation in the UK, validating and refining Vector’s capabilities under real-world conditions. The simulation highlighted the need for better integration between fleet and vertiport operator systems, prompting Eve to prioritize the development of services to address these gaps.

“As Vector matures, Eve continues to pursue opportunities to trial the solution with customers and partners,” stated Brenden Hedblom, Eve’s head of traffic management solutions. “Testing in real-world scenarios ensures optimal value for end-users.”

Eve anticipates advancing towards an operational version of Vector this year, inviting customers to test and trial the software to prepare the UAM ecosystem for initial operations.
