IG Drones, a drone service provider in India, has secured an important contract to conduct a comprehensive drone survey at the Diamond Mining Project in Panna, Madhya Pradesh. The project, spearheaded by NMDC Limited, marks a significant milestone in utilizing cutting-edge drone technology for efficient and accurate surveying.

NMDC Limited, known for pioneering Asia’s sole mechanized diamond mining project in Panna, has assigned IG Drones with the task of conducting a comprehensive drone survey spanning three financial years. The survey aims to create digital elevation models, digital surface models, and ortho mosaic images of the entire lease area, complying with Ministry of Mines guidelines.

This partnership signifies a significant shift towards leveraging drone technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in large-scale surveying projects. According to an official company statement, by utilizing state-of-the-art Photogrammetry and LiDAR technologies, IG Drones aims to reduce surveillance costs, mitigate risks, and streamline the surveying process for NMDC Ltd.

Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder & CEO of IG Drones, expressed enthusiasm about the project, highlighting the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation. With an experienced team and expertise in drone surveying, IG Drones is set to deliver precise and reliable results that exceed client expectations, he stated.

This contract adds to IG Drones’ portfolio of high-profile projects, including pipeline inspections, metro rail surveys, and bullet train projects. Furthermore, IG Drones undertook the surveying responsibilities for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project last year. The company’s strategic partnerships with state governments, PSUs, and MNCs reflect its growing influence in the drone services sector.

The company recently bagged the contract for a crucial pipeline inspection at NTPC Darlipali Thermal Power Station in Odisha, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has also secured a contract for surveying the Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project earlier this year, marking the country’s inaugural PRT corridor under the Neo Metro System.

As India aims to become a global hub for drone technology by 2030, IG Drones’ initiatives align with the country’s vision for technological advancement and innovation. With steadfast support from governmental bodies and a track record of successful projects, IG Drones is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of drone technology in India.
