Japanese premium lingerie brand Wacoal has launched a new outlet in Mumbai’s western suburb Borivali, as it continues expanding its physical retail presence in India. The new store, located at Sky City Mall, comes shortly after the brand unveiled its flagship store at Phoenix Palladium in the city.

The Borivali store marks Wacoal India’s growing focus on making its products more accessible to a wider customer base, especially in high-growth urban clusters. The 550 sq. ft. store features private fitting rooms, a spacious layout, and is designed to reflect Wacoal’s global standards for premium customer experience.

“At Wacoal, we are dedicated to helping every woman find the perfect fit through superior design, premium quality, and personalized service,” said Pooja Merani, COO, Wacoal India. “The launch of our new store at Sky City Mall allows us to serve a growing base of customers in Borivali, a market that reflects the evolving aspirations of young professionals and families seeking quality and style in intimate wear. We are excited to continue building a strong retail presence across India.”

The store houses Wacoal’s full product range across lingerie, loungewear, and sleepwear, offering everything from daily essentials to premium occasionwear. While the collections reflect Wacoal’s Japanese craftsmanship, the Indian business focuses on tailoring offerings based on consumer feedback and market preferences.

With 17 exclusive stores now operational in the country, Wacoal is aiming to expand further over the next 12–18 months. The company plans to strengthen its presence in key cities and also grow through e-commerce and multi-brand outlets.

Mumbai remains one of Wacoal India’s largest markets, and the new store is expected to help the brand deepen its reach in the city’s suburban areas.
