Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has teamed up with Naukri to recruit their “Fan-in-Chief” through a selection process that gets hosted as a seven-episode Instagram video series.

“We wanted to tap into the T20 craze but with an idea that could only be from Naukri. I believe finding the spot between our core proposition “Jobs” and T20 with a partner such as RCB is what makes this resonate with the younger audience base,” Shail Gaurav, EVP and head of marketing, Naukri, said.

Reportedly, the activity started with RCB posting the Fan-In-Chief “Job” on Naukri. It’s believed that the first phase saw over 100,000 fans apply for the job and now the video series intends to show the auditions and selection criteria tasks in a comical manner, and ultimately revealing the chosen fan in chief. The entire activity and content is believed to have been conceptualised by Danish Sait.

“We are looking forward to partnering with Naukri for this campaign. I think this collaboration offers fans an opportunity to engage with RCB and we are looking forward to an association together.” Rajesh Menon, vice-president and head, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, said.
