Levi Strauss & Co. has named Hiren Gor as Managing Director for South Asia, Middle East and Africa (SAMEA), effective immediately. The appointment expands Gor’s remit beyond his most recent role as General Manager for South Asia, positioning him at the helm of one of the company’s most strategically significant regions.
About Hiren Gor
A long-time Levi’s executive, Gor has spent 16 years with the denim brand, where he has led initiatives that have reshaped its retail and digital footprint in South Asia. Under his leadership, the region became a high-performing growth engine, marked by the launch of the brand’s “iconic store” strategy, transformation of its retail fleet, scale-up of omnichannel capabilities, and the building of agile, market-responsive teams.
Gianluca Flore, Chief Commercial Officer at Levi Strauss & Co., said Gor’s track record made him well-suited to lead the SAMEA cluster. “Hiren has consistently demonstrated strategic clarity, operational excellence, and a deep connection to our brand. As we sharpen our focus across the SAMEA cluster, we are confident his leadership will further strengthen our commercial performance and deepen our impact across these dynamic markets,” Flore said.
Expanding footprint in emerging markets
According to the company, Gor will oversee Levi’s operations across South Asia, the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa, as the company looks to tap growth opportunities in diverse, fast-growing consumer markets. The region encompasses both established Levi’s territories and new frontiers where the brand is building its presence.
Gor said he was eager to extend the company’s legacy in these markets. “It’s been an incredible journey building the South Asia business with our passionate teams and partners. Levi’s has always stood for purposeful innovation and enduring style, and I’m excited to take this legacy forward across a region as diverse and full of potential as South Asia, the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa,” he said.
Founded in 1873, the Levi’s brand is available in more than 120 countries, with a portfolio of denim and lifestyle products.
