IGP (International Gifting Platform) has launched a new campaign titled ‘Amazing Gifts, Samay Par,’ featuring a unique ad film set in a futuristic world inspired by retro-futurism. From what is understood, the film imagines a robotic era reminiscent of 1990s visions of the future, blending nostalgia with humour.
“Today’s robots may be sleek and advanced, but in the 90s, we imagined them with a different kind of charm—clunky yet endearing, functional yet full of personality. Our new ad plays on that nostalgia, reminding us of how we once dreamed of the future while showcasing the timeless power of thoughtful gifting. With the number of weddings this year projected to exceed the 3.8 million ceremonies held last year, which contributed Rs 4.74 trillion to the economy, anniversaries represent an ever-expanding market. The storyline follows a couple navigating a conflict after one partner forgets their anniversary, ultimately resolved through thoughtful and timely gifting.
