Frammer AI, founded over a year ago by the former management team of NDTV, has announced a $2 million seed investment from Lumikai, a venture capital firm focused on interactive media and gaming. Reportedly, this funding will support the startup’s growth, expansion of its technology team, and product development.

Frammer AI aims to utilise AI technology to assist businesses in creating videos for social media platforms. The startup has clients in India and the US, including The India Today Group, Zee News, and the insurance company Acko. This client base includes media companies, eCommerce firms, and large corporates.

Frammer AI has partnered with Brightcove, a US-listed company that provides streaming services to publishers worldwide. This collaboration highlights Frammer AI’s position in the content creation market.

“We look forward to the journey with Frammer AI,” said Salone Sehgal, Founding Partner at Lumikai. “As a leadership team, they have consistently driven businesses from inception to profitability and delivered shareholder value with pioneering content, product and media-tech solutions while leading NDTV. In a world where brands, enterprises, and media houses must consistently engage audiences through social media, Frammer AI’s impressive client roster is testament to the value of their solution.”

Frammer AI’s platform offers a solution for video creation, automating processes that typically require time and multiple personnel. The platform can convert a half-hour video into 35 segments in around five minutes. It provides transcripts, captions, and identifies excerpts for various formats such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. This efficiency appeals to companies seeking to enhance their marketing through short-form video content.

Frammer AI plans to use the funding from Lumikai to expand into sports and entertainment. The company aims to grow its technology team to meet the demands of its client list and invest in data training for its areas of focus.

Suparna Singh, CEO and Co-founder of Frammer AI, said “The need for – and interest in – short-form video has never been higher. We’re thrilled to hear from clients that Frammer is creating larger audiences for them by utilizing all their video to its fullest potential. We’ve used all our experience and knowledge to train Frammer to deliver the most accurate results for complex content, and it’s gratifying to see very effective results.”

With this investment, Frammer AI is positioned to capitalise on the demand for video content in the digital landscape, solidifying its role in the interactive media space.
