1. What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

I find travelling and exploring new places hugely refreshing, and if the exploration is around history and food, it is even better. I enjoy the fact that these travels allow you to be a student again, absorbing and learning from the diversity of different cultures. My favourite activity while travelling is going on guided walks – the perfect way to experience a place through the eyes of a native.

2. How do you spend your weekends?

My weekends are action-packed. I usually start the day with a game of tennis, a run, or a workout. I like to catch a play or a movie with my family. Weekends are also a great time for me to catch up on reading and reflect on the work week. This reflection helps me plan ahead and get my mind centred for the coming week.

3. What are your favourite gadgets?

I’m not a gadget freak, but I can’t live without my AirPods. They have this incredible ability to transport you to a different world, whether I’m listening to music, or podcasts, or just getting lost in a thought.

4. Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

The opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially on a large scale, has always driven me. If I hadn’t chosen my current path, I would have pursued a career in public or administrative service. It’s still a dream that I haven’t given up on!

5. Which is your favourite vacation spot?

I rarely visit the same place twice, but if I had to return somewhere, it would be the Isle of Skye in Scotland, Iceland, or Kalmatia, a beautiful place beyond Almora in Uttarakhand.

6. A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching.

I highly recommend the series Planet Earth and Our Planet – both take you on a stunning journey into the miracles of our planet. For a podcast, “Empire” by William Dalrymple is another must-listen – it’s incredibly insightful.
