Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Prateek Sethi, founder, TRIP Creative Agency talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I love twiddling my thumbs. I like looking at the ships and boats moving with the tide as the daily cycle of time progresses. I like to read. Anything that catches my imagination or inspires me to stay on topic… could be about aeroplanes and advancements in aviation. Exciting things in the world of boat building, aerofoils, and short stories. New techniques and innovations in design.
How do you spend your weekends?
With family. Could be a picnic, an excursion, or an outing. Could be a weekend getaway. Could be a party weekend with birthdays and prolonged celebrations. Could be studying for my SPL/ PPL exams. Could be a marathon catch-up on a series/game I have been wanting to see/play for some time. Could be a talk, panel discussion or attending a conference/ festival meeting old pals and making new friends.
What are your favourite gadgets?
For a guy working with a lot of tech, I stick to my phone and laptop as the most used gadgets. My all time favourite gadget is the fridge. Modern fridges are amazing.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I would be a professional thumb twiddler. Or a close second would have been an engine designer.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
The Ladakh Sarai at Ayu is my favourite. I have been going there for 2 decades now. Travelled to a lot of countries, scenic spots across topographies and spots within our glorious country as well, but Ladakh Sarai is home.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching?
So many! Recently loved Murder Mubarak. Pankaj Tripathi is a class apart. Attack on Titan, Death Note, One Piece or Avatar animated series and now the action (recent Avatar and One Piece) versions have been outstanding. The latest Jindal Steel campaign video has been absolutely fantastic. It deserves multiple awards.
