Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Shivam Dubey, Health coach & fitness influencer and founder, Yourfitnesstories, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
1. What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
When I am not working, I love to engage in activities that give me an adrenaline rush. Whether it is playing badminton or spending time on my elliptical, I enjoy staying active. I also make it a point to spend quality time with my parents.
2. How do you spend your weekends?
My weekends are usually spent on some form of physical activity, like a workout session or a sport that keeps me energized. I believe in balancing fun with fitness, so even during my leisure time, I try to incorporate some exercise.
3. What are your favourite gadgets?
My favourite gadget is definitely my Apple Watch. While its tracking might not be the most accurate, I find it incredibly convenient to have it on me at all times. It’s become an essential part of my routine, especially when I’m out and about.
4. Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I had to choose another career, I would likely be involved in something that combines physical activity with creativity, perhaps in the field of sports or fitness coaching.
5. Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Although I have not travelled much, I have always been drawn to places like Italy and Switzerland. The scenic beauty of these destinations, which I have admired through photos, has made them top of my travel list. I plan to visit them in the next year or so.
6. A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching.
I highly recommend watching Game of Thrones. It is one of the few TV shows that managed to keep me hooked with its suspense and action. For Indian shows, Family Man is another favourite. While I do not have a specific ad campaign in mind, I generally enjoy content that is engaging and has an element of surprise or excitement.
