Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Akanksha Vishnoi, co-founder, YesMadam, talks to BrandWagon Online about her weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
Being a co-founder of a D2C startup, there will always be something to do but whenever I find time which is highly unlikely, I catch on to my sleep and make sure that I eat every two hours.
How do you spend your weekends?
My weekends are dedicated to CCB; Conversations, Coffee, & Balcony. Being an early riser, I start my day with a black coffee, and that cosy corner of my house is my balcony where I sit in a meditative state. During the evening, that coffee and space get the company of my mother, where I chat my heart out and feel grateful for everything.
What are your favourite gadgets?
Whatever makes my life easier would enter my list of gadgets but nothing fancy. I get along just fine with a power bank, laptop and phone. Music has been of help lately, so there are airpods that I carry with me.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I led quite a few projects where I wore the hat of a speaker. I might have been taking sessions on life and ambition in some distant corner of the world. Having said this, I think I would have found my way to entrepreneurship, no matter what.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
It could be any spot as long as it has a sea. There’s something about beaches and the endless sea that appeals to me—or maybe it is because I can’t go round & round in the mountains or trekking, which ends up making me feel tired.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching.
The Ad Campaign – My understanding of an Ad is, “Less is More.” There’s an MDH Ad campaign which sends the message across in two sentences, “Taste Kaha Hai? Taste Yaha Hai.”
The Movie – 3 Idiots, I am a lawyer turned CMO and Co-Founder, this movie & my dad shared a common belief, “your degree shouldn’t define what you do in life.
TV Show – F.R.I.E.N.D.S – The best part about Friends is, that you can pick the storyline from any season or episode—and of course, it makes me laugh, and hence on my list.
