Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Bhavna V, Co-founder, Nysh, talks to BrandWagon Online about her weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
Whenever I get some time to spare, I like to unwind with a book. I like reading spiritual books, as they enhance my knowledge about certain unexplored and unknown aspects of life. They kind of take me away from the world for a while. I also read a lot of management books, as they help us improve our life skills and enable us to achieve our goals in a better way. I am also fond of watching good content on the TV and playing a sport, whenever I feel like taking some time off for myself.
How do you spend your weekends?
During the weekends, I usually prefer to begin my days with a game of badminton which is my favourite sport. It gives me the adrenaline rush that keeps me in high spirits throughout the day. Evenings are usually spent catching up with friends or family, or simply listening to music and unwinding in the tranquillity of my home.
What are your favourite gadgets?
With access to the smartphone, does anyone even need another gadget? With everything from work to entertainment, and from social media to AI tools, these days a phone is more than sufficient to have access to the world at your fingertips.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I would say that decorating and designing homes has always been a hidden passion for me. Apart from my own house, I have aided many friends and relatives in refurbishing their abodes. So given an option, I would like to be an interior designer as I love envisioning beautiful homes and crafting the visions into reality.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Italy it is. I like Italy, as the country exudes a mix of modernity and old-world charm.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
I love the web series ‘Suits’, as it depicts how your attitude and presence of mind can help you get your way. And I also like the movie ‘3 Idiots’, for the way a very deep life lesson has been portrayed in a humorous style, that gets one thinking at the end.
“Power of One”- This ad campaign by RuPay emphasises India’s unity in diversity by showcasing individuals from various backgrounds using RuPay cards, highlighting the card’s accessibility and acceptance across the nation.
