As a step to accelerate the Government of India’s goals of universal sanitation coverage and to reinforce the importance of cleanliness, Amazon India along with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, minister of jal shakti, government of India, has launched the ‘Swachhata Store’. As per the company, the initiative aims to support the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Additionally, the ‘Swachhata Store’ will offer deals on more than 20,000 cleaning products such as Vacuum cleaners, Sanitaryware, Water Purifiers, Mops, Brooms, among others from Indian sellers, SMEs and manufacturers.
Talking about the initiative, Manish Tiwary, vice president and country manager, consumer business, Amazon India, said, “It is an honour to support the Government’s vision of Clean India. The launch of Amazon’s ‘Swachhata Store’ will help strengthen our 4S commitment to cleanliness that includes ‘Seamless smart cleaning’, ‘Sanitation for everyone’, ‘Strongly committed to cleanliness’, and ‘Safeguard the environment.’ This online store will reinforce the concept of sanitation as everyone’s business.”
Alongside educating the customers about the health benefits of maintaining a clean environment, this store will serve as a one-stop destination with easy access to essential items that promote cleanliness and hygiene.
