– As told to Alokananda Chakraborty

The Job

I don’t see my job as just work — it’s my passion. I help businesses, especially MSMEs, set ambitious goals and actually achieve them. Every day, I meet entrepreneurs who are stuck, unsure of how to grow, and I guide them using OKRs to scale their businesses. Seeing someone double their revenue in 90 days or prepare for an IPO when they once thought it was impossible — that’s what keeps me going. For me, success isn’t just about numbers; it’s about transforming lives and businesses.

The Weekdays

My weekdays start early — usually with a cup of tea and some reading. I’m a big believer in personal growth, so I make time for learning before I dive into my day. Then, it’s back-to-back meetings, coaching sessions, and workshops. Whether I’m mentoring business owners, speaking at an event, or working with my team at Tajurba, my days are full of energy. I love the hustle, but I also make sure to take short breaks to reflect, reset, and plan. Every day is a chance to make an impact, and that’s what drives me.

The Weekend

Weekends are for family, travel, and giving back. I love exploring new places — it gives me fresh perspectives and ideas. But even on weekends, my mind is always buzzing with ways to help entrepreneurs. I often spend a few hours mentoring young business owners, helping them tackle challenges and plan their next big move. I also focus on Tajurba Foundation’s initiatives, ensuring we’re making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. For me, unwinding isn’t about doing nothing — it’s about doing things that truly matter.

The Toys

I’ve never been much into material things — my favorite ‘toys’ are my books, my whiteboard (where all my crazy ideas and business strategies come to life), and my passport. I love traveling because it teaches me more than any classroom ever could. If I had to pick a physical gadget, I’d say my phone —because it connects me to people, ideas, and opportunities at the click of a button.

The Logos

Logos are more than just designs — they tell a story. Google, for instance, represents innovation and relentless curiosity. Amazon is all about thinking big and never settling. But the one that means the most to me is Tajurba — it’s not just a company; it’s a movement. It represents the power of experience (Tajurba means ‘experience’ in Hindi) and how, with the right guidance, any business can thrive. Every time I see that logo, I’m reminded of our mission to uplift MSMEs and create a lasting impact.
