The Job
As the Joint Managing Director (JMD) of SLMG Beverages, I focus on driving growth and ensuring operational excellence. My journey has been about taking the company from its roots to establishing a presence on the global stage. I truly enjoy mentoring young entrepreneurs, helping them turn their ideas into something tangible and impactful. For me, growth is more than just a goal—it’s woven into everything I do, from expanding businesses to creating sustainable solutions and supporting future leaders.
The Weekdays
My day starts early, as I like to make the most of the time I have. I start my day with meditation and listening to spiritual sermons. It gives me mental strength to start the day. Exercise is an important part of my routine—I spend around 45 minutes every day working out, sometimes it is in the morning or evening. Apart from working out thrice a week, I play tennis twice a week, which not only helps me physically, but it is a great way to improve focus. I read four print newspapers (not digital) every morning. I have been reading newspapers since the age of 12, and I still don’t like the idea of reading it digitally.
Mornings are usually spent reviewing reports and working closely with my team on key tasks. The rest of the day is often filled with engaging discussions—whether with stakeholders or colleagues—which provide fresh ideas and open up new opportunities. While the days are busy, they’re incredibly rewarding.
The Weekend
Weekends are my time to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures. I love listening and reading good books, and spending quality time with my family. Reading, in particular, helps me stay informed about industry trends, current
events, and innovative ideas, which inspires me both personally and professionally.
The Toys
When it comes to gadgets, I keep things simple. My phone and laptop are all I need to stay connected and productive. I prefer tools that help me focus on what really matters without complicating my routine.
The Logos
I don’t chase logos but quality of the product, not the branding splashed across it. I prefer my footwear and clothing to be understated—free of logos or labels. What truly matters to me is the craftsmanship and reliability a brand offers, not just its name.
