A significant part of my day is spent engaging with lenders and working with our internal teams to establish Ecofy as a leading green finance entity.
The Job I am the co-founder, director, and chief operating officer at Ecofy, which allows me to be involved in multiple functions. My work includes fundraising, sharing our company’s story with investors and lenders, and managing credit, operations, and finance. Since NBFCs are closely regulated, I also focus on ensuring compliance and maintaining ethical business practices. Ecofy has a young, dynamic team, and I love spending time with talented individuals who are passionate about making a difference in India’s climate finance sector. The Weekdays A significant part of my day is spent engaging with lenders and working with our internal teams to establish Ecofy as a leading green finance entity. I dedicate time to exploring new opportunities in the climate finance space. My mornings start with an hour of coffee and conversation with my wife, which I truly cherish. Evenings include some form of exercise to unwind. I maintain conventional work hours but find it efficient to take calls or respond to emails late at night or early in the morning to squeeze in a few extra productive hours from home. The Weekend Part of my Saturday is spent working, often from the verandah at Bombay Gymkhana, overlooking the lawns. Saturday evenings and Sundays are usually spent with friends. Sundays also serve as my time to catch up on in-depth reading, which I struggle to do during the week. I’m an avid reader of thrillers and whodunits, reading at least 40-50 books a year. I try to fit in a swim or a game of tennis—though my kids rarely play with me now that they’ve surpassed my skill level! The Toys I am not particularly brand-conscious, but I do have a few preferences. I stay loyal to Gillette’s latest shaving blades and Grey Flannel perfumes by Geoffrey Been; both choices inspired by my father. I have a natural affinity for several Tata brands like Taj, Titan, Croma, Westside, and Star Bazaar, partly because many of their CEOs are my friends. The Logos I appreciate high-quality tennis rackets (Wilson RF Pro). I also enjoy great music streaming and prefer Tidal for its superior sound quality.
