On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new global engineering and technology centre campus of Boeing near Bengaluru.

The 43-acre state-of-the-art Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre (BIETC) campus is the company’s largest such investment outside the United States of America. It is built at a cost of Rs 1,600 crore.

On the city outskirts, the campus is at Hightech Defence and Aerospace Park in Devanahalli. In India, it will become a cornerstone for partnerships with vibrant startups, private and government ecosystems. It will assist in developing next-generation products and services for the global aerospace and defence industry, according to official sources, reported PTI.

While addressing a gather PM Modi said that the country will give a new energy to the world’s aviation market.

“Our airlines have ordered hundreds of new aircraft, which means India is going to give a new energy to the world’s aviation market,” PM Modi said.

“This is also the right time for Boeing and other international companies. This is the time for them to link their growth with India’s rapid growth,” he added.

Indirectly praising his government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the last decade, India’s aviation market has been completely transformed.
