Passengers aboard IndiGo flight 6E 1303, traveling from Mumbai to Doha, experienced a significant delay on Sunday morning due to a technical issue. The flight, originally scheduled to depart early in the morning, saw passengers waiting inside the aircraft for over four hours before they were allowed to deplane.
According to sources, the technical problem prevented the flight from taking off as planned. Despite attempts to depart, the aircraft had to return to the gate due to procedural delays. This situation led to growing frustration among passengers, who took to social media to express their displeasure with the prolonged wait.
IndiGo’s Response and Passenger Assistance
In response, IndiGo issued a statement explaining that the delay was caused by technical reasons. “The aircraft tried to depart for its destination a couple of times but had to finally be called off due to the extended time lag on account of various procedural delays,” the airline said. The airline also apologized for the inconvenience caused and reassured passengers that their airport team was providing necessary assistance.
IndiGo’s response included offering refreshments and making necessary arrangements for affected customers. Additionally, passengers were provided with hotel accommodations and rebooked on alternative flights to their final destinations.
The flight is now expected to take off later in the day, once all necessary procedures have been completed.
