Amid heavy rainfall lashing parts of Tamil Nadu, the Chennai Airport announced the cancellation of eight flights scheduled to operate to and from destinations including Bengaluru, Andaman, New Delhi, and Muscat. According to an official statement, the disruptions occurred due to adverse weather conditions affecting airport operations.
Details of Cancelled Flights
The cancelled flights include an Akasa Air flight from Bengaluru to Chennai, which was set to depart at 7:05 am, an Akasa Air flight from Andaman scheduled for 1 pm, an IndiGo flight from Delhi at 3:20 pm, and an Oman Air flight arriving from Muscat in the early morning.
