Why was Air India’s Delhi to San Francisco flight was diverted
The airline’s Delhi to San Francisco flight had to be redirected because of some technical glitch on Thursday. The decision to divert the flight was made as some issue was detected by the cockpit crew in the cargo hold area of the Boeing 777 aircraft. Prompt assistance was provided to the stranded passengers by Air India’s local support. All the flyers were made to stay at the terminal building because of the lack of Russian visas.
As per the statement released by the airport, to arrange hotel accommodations for the passengers, representatives from the Indian Consulate in Moscow traveled overnight to collaborate with Russian officials. The passengers have been on standby throughout the night.
