We are moments away being introduced to India’s Interim Budget 2024. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reached the Parliament with the tablet in her hand. Before landing inside the Parliament, where she will start presenting the budget at 11 am, she stood outside the Finance Ministry for the customary photo with the budget wrapped in red.

Nirmala Sitharaman saree 2024
This year, the Finance Minister has opted for Kantha Stitch blue and cream-coloured saree to present her sixth consecutive budget. The body of the saree is blue with cream-coloured kantha works all over it.
Last year, Sitharaman had worn a hand woven red ilkal saree with Navalagunda embroidery. This saree was a gift to her from minister Pralhad Joshi from Dharwad, Karnataka.
The finance minister frequently favors off-white or cream hues, evident in her choice of attire. Noteworthy instances include her selection of a red and off-white Pochampally saree in 2021 and a Bomkai saree in a rustic brown shade in 2022. In 2020, she adorned an all-yellow silk saree with a delicate blue border, while in 2019, she opted for a pink Mangalgiri saree complemented by a golden border.
